Our client is looking for an experienced Implementation Manager to join the security transformation programme based at Heathrow.

12 Month Contract
Inside IR35
Based at Heathrow (4 days per week on site, 1 day from home)
Their delivery team offers comprehensive technical support, project management, and engineering services to Heathrow. The team also provides guidance on the latest emerging technologies. Our responsibilities encompass the design and installation of passive IT infrastructure, which includes networks, associated assets and connected devices such as common use terminals, displays, access control systems, and CCTV; experience of delivering large scale IT projects in these disciplines is essential.
The role is full time and there will be predominantly based on-site at Heathrow i.e. c. 4 days per week on-site, this may fluctuate in line with project requirements. The role is expected to last a min of 12 months.
They are seeking a candidate able to demonstrate a high level of project leadership capability, who can ensure design delivery to time and budget on complex design projects. You will also be responsible for the bidding and delivery of the projects to time, cost, and quality and throughout their project lifecycle, from tender to closeout. You will be comfortable working with a diverse range of suppliers and styles and be able to solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities:
- Work within agreed and published project processes and standards to support the Project Delivery Practice at Heathrow, other Airports or other sites as required.
- Manage our client’s suppliers ensuring that process is followed for the project(s) engaged upon.
- For each project engaged upon, assist with identifying future demands ensuring that resources/services are obtained to meet the demand.
- Produce regular reports and maintain folders for all projects as requested.
- Ensure the handover of projects to relevant departments is carried out smoothly, in a timely manner and that all “as fitted” documentation is accurately produced.
- Act as the focal point for project co-ordination with planning-supervisors, construction managers & various airport clients where required.
- Upon assignment of a project, meet with client to discuss requirement and agree a scope and project timeline if required.
- Work with all relevant groups within HAL to achieve full 'buy-in' and therefore an overall successful conclusion (such groups will be AOSU, Property, Baggage, Terminal Management, STAR centre, Celsius team, Security, Change Management, Maintenance).
- Upon acceptance of quotation(s), assist in the production of work packs for the Framework Partners.
- Instigate all necessary update meetings with Framework Partners and resolve any changes to the agreed cost plan and project timeline.
- Attend any weekly/monthly progress meetings and represent IT interests where required.
- Upon completion of the works, provide all necessary documentation to all interested parties to achieve on-going support of the new install.
Experience and Skills:
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated and able to work well within a team.
- Substantial skills and experience in Telecoms or Networking support function.
- Broad knowledge of specialised telecoms services in an enterprise and service provider environment; airport services experience advantageous.
- Specific knowledge of network products and suppliers would be advantageous.
- Experience in real environment deployments would be advantageous.
- Experience in LAN technology would be essential.
- Experience in wireless technology would be advantageous.
- Experience in CCTV and Access Control systems would be advantageous.
- An experienced professional with at least 2 years operational experience in an IT, Network or Engineering department.
- Formally educated to C&G, HNC or A-level standard.
- Formal project management, network technology or IT systems training is desirable but not essential.
- Use of MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word is essential. Training on the client/Heathrow specific applications will be given.
